Madras Kerala Samajam in association with ABAN FOUNDATION, CHENNAI organized the 4th M.A.ABRAHAM MEMORIAL COMMUNITY MARRIAGE on 12.06.2008 at 10.30 am at Dr.C.R.Krishnapilla Hall, (at Samaj complex). 14 young couples were blessed, and stepped into their next level of life,ie. being together forever.

95 year old Mrs.Annamma Abraham, mother of late M.A. Abraham inaugurated the function by giving garlands to Mr.B.Velu - Ms, Bharathi couple. Smy. Saley Abraham, wife of M.A. Abraham, Mr.Reji Abraham, Sri.M.P.Purushothaman, MD of EMPEE GROUP OF Cos., Sri.K.V.V.Mohanan, MD of K.V.MARINE EXPORTS, Sri.Venkatesh, Executive Officer of ABAN, Dr.T.M.R. Panicker, President of Madras Kerala Samaj, Sri.Anandan, Sri.K.C. Sankunni, Sri.P. Parameswaran Nair, Sri.P.P Sudhakaran, Sri.K.V.Nair, Senior vice President of CTMA, Sri.Ambika Balan, MD Amrutha Ambika Chit Funds, Sri.T.K.Abdul Nazar were lead the function. Samaj thro ABAN given 14 grams gold as Mangalya suthra, wedding rings, vessels worth rs.1500/= conveyance to the couples, wedding sarees, bridegroom dresses etc. All the brides and grooms were from the economically challenged tamil family.

Samaj General Secretary welcomed the gatherings and invited the chief guests to the dias and followed by the couples one by one. After the marriage function, the students who got the first and second rank in Tamil Nadu for our mother tongue Malayalam are being invited to the dias and presented by cash awards from the Chief Guests. SSLC, +2 toppers of KVHSS and the three students got centum in maths also presented by cash awards. Wedding feast also arranged for 600 guests. In the 70th year of Samaj, it spreads its social services with the help of kind hearted peoples with pleasure. SAMAJ IS SPRINGING UP TO SERVE THE SOCIETY.kvhs.jpg

Kerala Vidyalayam Hr.Secondary School, under the Management of Madras Kerala Samaj, achieved a very good result in the plus 2 public examination. 110 students appeared for the examinations.102 students passed and out of them 69 students has got first class. 31 students passed with distinction.We got overall 93% result this academic year, which is considered more than 100% when compared to the economic-family background of the students. The Management and the Teachers taken special efforts by putting extra hours late in evening and even took classes in the week ends and off days to get a good result for KERALA VIDYALAYAM HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL the school of the commons in the City.

Ms. Sowmya Krishnan got the first rank in the school with 1144 marks, followed by Ms. R. Ragendu and Ms.Aswathy Babu got second and third respectively.

And the school is happy and proud to congratulate all the students who made the golden mile stone in the school’s history.

It adds glory to Madras Kerala Samaj and Kerala Vidyalayam Hr.Secondary School in Chennai, Tamil Nadu state.
