MADRAS KERALA SAMAJ (REGD.)

The annual general body meeting of the Madras Kerala Samaj was held at the Dr.C.R.Krishnapilla Hall (20th June 2010), Samaj complex, under the presidentship of Dr.TMR Panicker. Chairman Mr.M.Sivadasanpillai, Vice Presidents, Mr.T.K.Abdul Nazar, Mr.T.Anandan Building Trust Secretary, Mr.S.S.Narayanan, Edu.Society Secretary Mr.P.Chandrasekharan Nair, Treasurer Mr.K.Mathew, Samaj General Secretary Mr.Kumblengad Unnikrishnan, its treasurer Mr.N.Sreedharan and around two hundred other members attended the meeting.

The General Secretary of the general body presented the working report on the upcoming project for the renovation of the school building. The treasurer of accounts Mr. N. Sreedharan submitted the accounts. Both the accounts and the working report were presented by the general body.

The participants of the discussions included Mr. V.Ravunni Menon, Mr.Dileep, Mr.Mohan, Mr.Sanal kumar, Mr.Vasan, Mr.M.K.Govindan, Mr.P.Parameswaran, Mr.V.Parameswaran, Mr.Vallathol Unnikrishnan, Mr.Joy, Mr.Sunilkrishnan and many other. A model of the proposed building project was exhibited in the hall and all the members unanimously requested the building committee to start the fund collection and complete this project as soon as possible.   Mr.M.K.A.Azees welcomed the gathering and the vote of thanks was delivered by Mr.P.K.Balakrishnan.

Madras Kerala Samaj observed June 12th as M.A.Abraham memorial day. the then Chairman of aban and our Ex-Chairman of Kerala Vidyalayam Higher Secondary School on his 6th Death Anniversary day. In association with Aban Foundation, Madras Kerala Samaj distributed Educational Assistance to four Engg.students and Scholarships to the top scorers in SSLC, and full year fees to Ms.Meenakshi, a student of a nearest school who scored 486 marks just nine marks away from the Tamilnadu state First Rank. Meenakshi belongs to a poor tamil family with a very minimum facility for her studies. Towards school fees, a sum of Rs.10000.00 also given to Ms.Thangamani’s two children, who also belongs to the BPL family.Mr.PKN Panicker presided the function. Mr.Purandiran, GM of ABAN, Mr.Idikula, representing ABAN, Dr.TMR Panicker, M/s.Ravunni Menon, K.Mathew, T.Anandan, K.C. Sankunni, P.Chandrasekharan Nair, P.K.Balakrishnan, K.V.V. Mohanan, Premier Janardhanan, Head Master Mr.M.Satish, Asst.HMS.L.Purushothaman, were addressed the function. Lunch also provided to all students and Guests.
