MADRAS KERALA SAMAJ (REGD.)

The first floor of approximately 15000sq.ft (1st Block)  of the Madras Kerala Samaj Bldg.project,  inaugurated by The Building Committee Chairman and President of All India Malayali Assn.  Sri.Gokulam Gopalan on 1.5.13 at samaj premises.  Sri.K. Mathew handed over the key and Sri.Gopalan given the same to The Kerala Vidhyalayam School Correspondent Sri.P.K.N Panicker and inaugurated the 1st block.        Function started by lighting     the Nilavilakku    by                        Smy. Sowbhagyam Sidhan at the enterence of the newly built building.   ‘Harisree Aksharasree’ the prayer song written by late.Sri.Thalassery Raghavan, sang by the teachers of Kerala Vidhyalayam and after that welcome speach by Sri.K.V.V.Mohanan    Dr.TMR Panicker presided over the function.CTMA General Secretary Sri.M.A. Salim and  Mssrs. M.Sivadasan Pillai, Ratnasingh Isaac,  T.K. Abdulnasar, Navodaya Sureshbabu, Premier Janardhanan, Guruvayoorappan Balettan, M.Satish,Principal of the KVHSS, P.K. Balakrishnan were addressed the function.  Sri.Premier Janardhanan distributed the Uniform to school Children.

Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Acadamy  KalaRatna Smy. T.R.OMANA,  Kalasri. VALLATHOL UNNIKRISHNAN, Gurupooja Awardee V. PARAMESWARAN NAIR ,  social activist Sri.P.T. ALI  were honoured by MADRAS KERALA SAMAJ by giving a shawl and Rs.10000.00 cash Award.      Kalaratna T.R. Omana donated Rs.10000/= to the building fund.

Mr.E.P.G. Nambiar,  Ln. Ravi,  Mr.Ganeshan were honoured with a shawl by Mr.Gokulam Gopalan.

The second floor and a hall in the third floor has to be constructed in due course, for that funds required.

Rajya Sabha MP Comrade T.K. Rangarajan offered funds for 4 class rooms from his MPLAD fund which is a great help to Kerala Vidhyalalyam.

Madras Kerala Samaj, 903 PH Road, Chennai 600093 India inviting malayalam poem from non resident keralites to consider Thalassery Raghavn memorial kavitha award.  The award is consisting Rs.5000 and citation.  The poem should not be a published one and it should not; exceed sixty lines.   The poem has to reach before April 6th 2013 to THE GENERAL SECY., MADRAS KERALA SAMAJ 903 POONAMALLI HIGH ROAD  CHENNAI 600084 INDIA.  Please note,   those who are participating for this award,  only outside kerala (non/resident keralites) Pravasi poets.

All arrangements were completed to conduct the Community Marriage in memorial of late M.A. Abraham, of ABAN, and the past President of Madras Kerala Samaj.  This year twelve couples will get married.   Every couples will give 12grm.  gold ornaments, wedding dresses, with Nadhaswaram music and a grand wedding feast.

This function is conducting by Madras Kerala Samajam , seven decade old organisation with the assistance of ABAN FOUNDATIONS.  This year the community marriage will held on  23rd November 2012 at 10am at Madras Kerala Samaj Hall.   Mr. Reji Abraham, MD of ABAN and Mrs. Saley Abraham w[o. M.A.Abraham and other eminent leaders will attend the function.
